Kiefel Packaging Dialogue at Kuhne/US Extruders in Rhode Island, USA - From extrusion to the packaged product.

It was a successful PACKAGING DIALOGUE on June 21, 2018 at the premises of US Extruders in Rhode Island.
The event focused on processing a unique barrier material on a multifunctional 91-cavity PP-tool from KIEFEL Packaging BV. A complete capsule production system based on a Kuhne 7-layer flat film line, a Kiefel Thermorunner KTR 6.1 Speed cup forming machine and fully integrated downstream-automation was presented to the public.
In the talks, Kiefel Packaging and Kuhne presented technologies and technical solutions. The aim was to provide the attendees the most recent trends and developments around production of recyclable K-cups.
In particular, the innovative thermoforming tool for floating polypropylene K-cups attracted great interest among the visitors from the US packaging industry. The experts participated in the lively discussions and information exchange.
